Best-selling novelist Eric Jonrosh sets the stage for "The Spoils of Babylon," his epic masterpiece of a family filled with lust, greed, and plenty of drama.
When war breaks out, Devon decides to enlist, leaving behind a distraught Cynthia, who learns that there might be another woman in the picture.
Devon and Lady Anne fall in love leaving Cynthia jealous and angry; in desperation, Devon turns to drugs and poetry.
The success of the Morehouse Conglomeration impacts the business and romantic relationship between Devon and Cynthia and leads to a showdown.
The forbidden love between Devon and Cynthia has become too much for Cynthia to handle; while visiting Devon, Cynthia confronts Dixie Melonworth; Cynthia's son Winston takes over the family business.
In the series finale, a vengeful Winston attempts to bring down the family and sees the annual Christmas party as his best chance.
