Sváko Ragan

The Case of the Stolen Poultry: The primary conflict of the first episode revolves around a local crime wave—someone has been stealing the village poultry. Ragan uses his signature unconventional wit and clever interrogation skills to successfully track down the thief and restore order.

The Art of the Deal: Sváko Ragan takes Ščeván under his wing to teach him the intricacies of the tanner’s trade (garbiarske remeslo). He introduces his son to the high-stakes, fast-talking world of market commerce, specifically teaching him the "tricks of the trade" (fígľe „gšeftovania s partiékou“) required to successfully sell leather at local fairs and regional markets.

Choosing the Suitor: The romantic dilemma surrounding his daughter, Juda, reaches a boiling point. Suitors line up, and the pressure is on to finalize a match. Rather than settling for a dull choice, Ragan uses a series of humorous character tests to trick the less-desirable suitors into revealing their true, greedy intentions, ultimately clearing the path for the best match.
