Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil

Demi reflects on the most difficult anniversary of their life: the two-year date of their overdose which they now refers to as “Miracle Day.” As they explore all that unfolded since July 24, 2018, they examine their spirituality, intuition, and appreciation for life in the face of overcoming tragedy.

On the heels of releasing a single that celebrates self-empowerment, Demi shares what they've learned in the wake of their engagement coming to an end. Although they got to walk the wedding line for a bit, they explore their new reality and starts to process their feelings after another major life-change.

Demi’s deepest feelings bubble up as they record a reflective diary during an emotional late night awakening. As the shock of ending their engagement wears off and gives way to pain, they begin to mourn the life they were building with a partner. Eventually, they conclude their only option is to rebuild and do the work themselves.

Overwhelmed with love, Demi reflects on a busy day that entails many of their talents: releasing their documentary trailer, and performing on Ellen. With a renewed sense of self, this diary is a direct message to their fans recognizing their unwavering support as they continue to overcome their obstacles.

A look behind the scenes with Demi and director Michael D. Ratner’s OBB Pictures as the title sequence for Dancing with the Devil is produced with XR (extended reality). Demi walks through what went into building the world they conquered in each episode’s opening.

As it breaks as a national news headline, Demi mourns the loss of their favorite Taco Bell menu item: the Mexican Pizza – but don’t worry – they already have a dialogue started with the powers that be (via DM of course) to remain its biggest fan & champion. They also touch on how Taco Bell was an unlikely but important part of their eating disorder recovery.

Demi invites the world to join them in a morning practice of toning their chakras. Their spiritual growth has been an anchor in their recovery and in this final diary, they give an intimate look at their process so that others can embark on their own journey of spirituality.
